During the conversation, Dr Awan revealed that she comes from a very strict family and was the first female to go to school and the first person ever from the family to go for professional education. “Let alone the females, even none of my male cousins held a graduate degree,” she told the host.

“The girls in our family were never allowed to get an education. So I am honoured to be the first daughter of the family to go to school, then high school, and then medical college; and the credit goes to my mother. She came from an educated family and stood against the system,” the politician explained.

Speaking about her favourite pass time activity, she shared her love for cricket and revealed that she likes to enjoy watching a good game. “It is not limited to series with Pakistan playing in it, but in general, I enjoy watching good cricket – be it anywhere in the world – and likes to keep a check on the score,” said Dr Awan.

“I like to relax that way.”

Moreover, the politician mentioned that something she is feared of is ‘insult’ and would not want to stay in a place where she is not respected.
